Active vibration control at Ullevi football arena, Göteborg, Sweden

NovoScen has made the design of the mechanical system, including the design of a new hybrid actuator, for an active damping system that will be installed in the Ullevi football arena in Göteborg to counter-act the vibrations generated by jumping football supporters.

New multi-purpose hall next to the Göteborg Opera house

The directors of the Göteborg Opera house have decided to investigate the possibility to build a multi-purpose facility in connection to the existing opera house. NovoScen has been contracted to make a preliminary analysis of the stage machinery for the new building.

The Schiphol: Create a Barrier of Silence competition is now completed. NovoScen was responsible for the design of the lifting mechanism of the 20 m high retractable sound barrier for the Schiphol airport.

Regional Cultural Centre Stjördal, Norway

In Stjördal a cultural centre is going to be built, which will offer a large variety of activities such as libraries, workshops, performance and conference halls, cinema and coffeeshops. The largest hall will be flexible and allow for audiences up to 1000 people. The scoop of work for NovoScen as a sub-contractor to Ramboll Norway:

Planning phase

Planning and system design of the complete stage machinery for halls and other facilities that require stage equipment.
Tender specification for the complete stage machinery.

Detailed design and construction phases

Advisor to the supplier of the stage equipment and quality assurance to ensure fulfilment of the technical specification.
Supervision, quality assurance and technical support on site for all constructions based on our specifications and designs.

Active vibration control at Ullevi football arena, Göteborg, Sweden

An active damping system, that will significantly reduce the vibrations generated by jumping football supporters will be designed and installed at the Ullevi football arena during the first half of 2010. Norconsult AB has the main contract for this project and NovoScen AB and Acticut International AB have been engaged as sub-contractors. The scoop of work for NovoScen:

Design phase

System design of the complete mechanical system as well as the technical specification for the drive and control of each separate unit.
Detailed design of the mechanical system, including the unit enclosure, and the climate control inside the enclosure.

Construction phase

On-site supervision and construction management during the installation and start of operation.

New Cultural Center in Hamar, Norway

In Hamar, a cultural center is planned containing halls and rooms for a large variety of activities, eg. theatre, cinema, conferences, and dance. The scoop of work for NovoScen in collaboration with Akustikon and Candela Design as subcontractors:

Design phase

Planning and system design of the complete stage machinery for the main hall as well as for the rehearsal halls and other facilities that require stage equipment.
Planning and system design of AV-installations and stage lighting.
Specification of drive and control.

Construction phase

Quality assurance of drawings and documents produced by the suppliers of the stage equipment, AV-system, and lighting.
Supervision, quality assurance and technical support on site for all constructions based on our specifications and designs, if required by the buyer.
